Product Description

Gr7 Titanium Alloy Sheet Cold Rolled ASTM B265

This titanium sheet and plate is cold rolled to ASTM B265 and supplied with a polished or acid washed surface. Gr7 titanium carries a small addition of palladium, which raises its resistance to chlorides and acidic media, so it holds up where plain titanium would pit. The material is light, strong and non-magnetic, has a good strength to weight ratio, and keeps its strength when working from 450 to 500 Celsius. Sheet and plate are cut to the customer size and can be supplied in thicknesses from 0.5 mm to 80 mm for forming, welding or machining.

Applications

The sheet and plate are used where corrosion resistance and light weight matter. Typical uses include chemical and process equipment, heat exchangers, desalination and water treatment plants, marine structures, aircraft parts and medical components. Gr7 is chosen for chloride and acid service where standard titanium could pit. Sheet and plate can be cut, formed and welded to the customer drawing, and each batch is supplied with a material test certificate. Material is packed in a plywood box with soft foam to protect the surface for export.
