This titanium round bar is produced to ASTM B348, ASTM F136, ASTM F67 and AMS4928 in Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V), Grade 7 (Ti-0.2Pd), Grade 9 (Ti-3Al-2.5V) and Grade 12 (Ti-0.3Mo-0.8Ni). Diameters run from 5 mm to 350 mm with lengths of 500 to 3000 mm or as requested, in the annealed condition with a polished or bright surface, and the material is also supplied as square, flat, hexagonal or rectangular section.

Applications & Titanium Advantages

Titanium bar and rod is used in the industrial, medical, salt-making, petrochemical, metallurgy, electronics and chemical sectors, and for machined parts such as titanium bolts. Titanium combines low weight with high strength and excellent corrosion resistance, so components last longer in seawater and aggressive chemicals. In service, titanium rods should be protected from scratches and impacts and kept free from dust and oil; working pressure must stay within the rated value; a low pressure start-up of at least 3-5 minutes is recommended with the pressure difference kept below 0.5 MPa; and filter elements should be recoiled or rewashed periodically as pressure rises and flow falls.
