This titanium elbow is made to ASTM B16.9 and ASTM B363 in Grade 2, Grade 7 and Grade 12, and is supplied in 45, 90 and 180 degree long radius and short radius forms. Sizes cover DN15 to DN1200 (NPS 1/2 to 48 inch) with wall thickness from 3 mm to 18 mm (Sch 5s to Sch 80s), in seamless or welded type with pickled or polished surface.

Applications & Titanium Advantages

Titanium elbows are used in the chemical industry, petroleum and nuclear power plants, marine technology and plant engineering, where corrosion resistance and low weight are both important. Grade 2 suits general corrosive service, Grade 7 is chosen where reducing acids are present, and Grade 12 gives higher strength with good corrosion resistance. Titanium has a low density of 4.51 g/cm3, a high melting point of about 1660 C and good toughness, so these fittings keep their strength where carbon steel would corrode.
